Question 1

Is Starsand Island multiplayer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Starsand Island has online multiplayer through an island-host system, but official 1.0 notes say island progress is not shared. Guests help on the host island and may need to return to their own island for some quests.

Question 2

What's new in Starsand Island 1.0?

Accepted Answer

Version 1.0 brings the full release update, including the complete main story, new island areas, additional NPC romance routes, improved crafting systems, and several performance optimizations compared to early access.

Question 3

Does Starsand Island have romance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Starsand Island includes a romance system with multiple NPC relationship options. You can build affinity through gifts, dialogue choices, and completing personal quests to unlock deeper relationship stages.

Question 4

What platforms is Starsand Island on?

Accepted Answer

Starsand Island is available now on PC via Steam. Console versions have been discussed by the developers — check the official site and our guides for the latest platform news.

Question 5

Why won't my Starsand Island quest start or turn in?

Accepted Answer

Update to 1.09.5664 or later first, then retrack the quest, carry the requested item, change zones, and fully close and reopen the game. If several quests target the same NPC, track one at a time. Back up the save before attempting rollback or file changes.

Question 6

Can I recover a Starsand Island save after a frozen cutscene?

Accepted Answer

Try the in-game rollback before editing files. On PC, advanced users can back up the complete save folder and promote a known-good autosave to the manual Archive filename. This is a community workaround, so preserve every original file and verify your current game version.

Question 7

How do I get Furnace 2 and iron bars?

Accepted Answer

Open the processing station you already own and use its small upgrade control instead of trying to craft a separate level-2 station. This resolves the apparent recipe catch-22 reported by new players.

Question 8

Where do I get Sleep Sand in Starsand Island?

Accepted Answer

Players identify Sleep Sand as a cow byproduct. Raise and care for cattle, then check their produced items rather than searching mining or beach areas.
